Trichoscopie
Digital microscopy measures hair density, thickness and follicle status — the objective basis of every treatment plan.
What does it involve?
Trichoscopy is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure in which a digital dermatoscope images the scalp at 20 to 70× magnification. The doctor measures hair density per cm², hair shaft diameter, the ratio of terminal to vellus hairs and follicle status per zone. The result is an objective baseline that enables comparison after treatment — and demonstrates whether treatment is actually working.
How the treatment unfolds
No preparation needed
No special preparation required. Clean, unstyled hair gives the best image. Avoid hairspray or gel before the appointment.
Microscopic imaging
The doctor places the dermatoscope on multiple scalp zones. Imaging takes 15 minutes and is completely painless.
Measurement and photo documentation
Hair density per cm², shaft diameter in µm and the terminal/vellus ratio are recorded per zone. Photos are stored in your file for later comparison.
Treatment advice
Within three working days you receive a detailed report with measurements, interpretation and a concrete treatment recommendation.
