PRP
Growth factors from your own blood stimulate dormant hair follicles back into the growth phase.
What does it involve?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrate of platelets derived from your own blood. After centrifugation, growth factors — including PDGF, VEGF and IGF-1 — are injected into the scalp. These factors activate dormant follicles and extend the anagen phase. PRP is not a replacement for medication but a powerful complement that stimulates the follicle at a cellular level.
How the treatment unfolds
Blood draw
A small tube of blood is drawn from the arm — identical to a standard blood test.
Centrifugation
The blood is centrifuged for 10 minutes to isolate the platelet-rich fraction from the red blood cells.
Scalp injection
The PRP is injected via fine needles on a 1 cm² grid. Cooling and local anaesthetic are available. The procedure takes 20 to 30 minutes.
After the treatment
No downtime. We advise avoiding sport and swimming for 48 hours. First results are visible from month three; density increase is measurable with trichoscopy.
